One Way
PostPosted by Erlend Hovdhaugen Oct 08, 2009 01:09AMGod is Love
It is His nature to love, He created everything in love.
His love is unchanging, and His love is perfect.
The only way I can love Him back, is by receiving His love first.
If I don’t have His love, I can not love Him back.
God does not require anything of me that He didn’t put in me to give back to Him.
1John 4:19 says “We love because He loved us first.”
And God is the same way in every situation in our lives.
He does not ask anything from us that He hasn’t already given us.
He doesn’t ask us to be like Him, if He is not being the same way towards us.
When you look at God in a “parent-role” as a Father to you,
If you are a parent yourself, you will know. Or if you have parents that show you how much they love you, you will see into God’s own Heart. That is one proof of us being created in His image. He is just like that father who is crazy about his kids!
You know, some people think that God is mad at His people. I don’t know how they get there in their thinking. Because God created us, He put us on this planet. We didn’t have a choice, He just put us here. And now He is mad at us? Hmm…
I don’t know about that. Because He says in His word that He is Love. I know that He hates sin, and I also know why He hates sin. Because sin is not a part of His nature, but what some of us just cant seem to get over is that Jesus Christ died for our sin once and for all a long, long time ago. But still, we talk and focus on the subject “sin”. (by the way, the word “sin” means “missing the goal”, and we all do that once in a while”).
I am not saying that sin is ok, but if we are in Him, and we allow Him to be in us, He makes us white as snow.
He tells us that in Isaiah, and I believe that this is one of the few times God talks to our reasons, “Come now, let us reason together”. Because whenever He speaks to us about our future, and how He sees us, He wants us to go beyond our thinking (Eph 3:20)
But in Isaiah 1:18 He says;
“Come now, let us reason together,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
You see, God has done with sin. “It is finished!”, Jesus own Words on the cross.
What we need to do is to take our bad stuff to the cross, so that God can kill it, and get rid of it once and for all. I say this because I believe that there is power in the cross, the Blood and what Jesus already did for us. If we walk around not dealing with it in Christ, I believe that the enemy has his right to blame us for it. But by giving it to God, so that He can crush it by the blood, we can walk free from the ties that keeps us from our Lord.
That’s why “Pray without season” “Hide in Me” and “Stay close to Me, and I will be close to you” and so on..
All I can say folks, is that whatever I held in my hands, I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God’s Hand, that I still possess.
Sin is still sin, no matter how you spell it, and Grace is what’s needed in this world today.
Give it all to God, so that He can continue to do His work through you.
You know Peter, he walked on water alright, but. The moment he took his eyes of Jesus, he sank…
You are Loved by God, you are the beloved !
God Bless you,
