Far more abundantly beyond all.
PostPosted by Erlend Hovdhaugen Sep 28, 2009 01:02PMIt is an attentional God we serve. God has a dream of making your life into something extraordinary, and He has a plan for your life. He says in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope."
I sometimes wonder, what some preachers think of when they set up their sermons. I am not saying this to judge anyone, but I wonder sometimes if they have heard from the Lord. I recently heard a famous preacher say that God loves Christians more than other people. I ask the question; So didn't Jesus die for all men?
I believe that God's opportunity to show His love 100% is only possible if a person is saved, and is under Jesus' blood. But I don't think that He loves some people more than others.
I do not see myself as "better" than anyone else, Christian or pre-Christian. The only difference between me and one that is not saved, is Jesus. I am saved by Grace, and Grace alone. And I believe that the only job God wants me to do on this planet untill He comes back is to put a face on Jesus, and to get people to love God. Is the way I live my life right now, worth Jesus dying for?
Jesus deserves to be represented by an excellent people..
I am not here to get titles like ;evangelist, apostle, prophet ...
That title will be gone, the day Jesus comes back anyway.
I know that we are provided with gifts, and that we are called to do different things in Church, and for The Kingdom. But that is not my focus, that is not my goal ..
The nr.1 thing on my "things to do" list, everyday for the rest of my life is this :
Luke 10:27“ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.’”
God does not require of me something He will not give to me first.
James 1:17 "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
So that tells me that,
1 John 4:19 "We love because He first loved us."
And its impossible to love God if He didn't give His love to us first. Because God loves us 100% right now, and He will do that forever. He does not change like shifting shadows. It is not about who you are, what you do, or where you go. He loves you as you are right now. And this is how we love Him back, with His Love ..
We must see ourselves as His Creation, and that means that He loves every person on this planet, and that He want to see them all Home with Him. He is Father, and He wants His kids back!
I really don't know were I am going with this story, but this is what The Lord put on my heart to write this time. I know its been a while since my last blog-post, and God has been working on my about this thing right here. And I believe that He is trying to tell us something about His Heart.
It's not about us, it's about Him. He wants His children back !
He is telling me right now, as I write "Come back to your first Love, come back!"
It's like He is saying, "I miss you, My creation, My kids, My beloved!"
God is here, He is right here. He wants you back, Church come back! He has so much for you, so many things He wants to show you!
I will close with this Word from The Bible :
Ephesians 3:20 "Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us"
Beloved, start to dream.
Dream about The Lord and all that He has for you, because He is dreaming about a life FAR more abundantly beyond ALL your highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, and dreams.
Live your life for His Glory, make Him shine, He deserves it, doesn't He...? My Jesus...
